Athletics Claim Late Win
The Oakland (Rk+) Athletics beat the Missoula Osprey, 6-3, at Ballpark of League City. The win was due in part to pinch hitter Sal Pena, who was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Pedro Sambrano picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Políbio Holzer suffered the loss. After today's action, Oakland (Rk+) sits at 11-31, while Missoula falls to 25-18.

Pena had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-2 fastball from Políbio Holzer, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Athletics a 6-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Pena.

"I know we have our doubters," said Missoula manager Cory Sotelo. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
