The Great Falls Voyagers and Portland Tigers completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The 7-3 Great Falls win over Portland was due in large part to Andy Pierce. The Voyagers designated hitter went 3 for 5 with 2 triples, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Chris Gordon picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 2-2.

With Great Falls leading 4-3 in the top of the fourth, Pierce hit a cutter from Ricardo Castro for a run-scoring triple. It was his 5th triple of the season and put the Voyagers ahead, 5-3.

In comments to the Great Falls Herald, Pierce admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."

The first-place Voyagers sport a record of 33-16.
