The Great Falls Voyagers faced a tough opponent in Billings pitcher Andy Epp, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Centene Stadium by a final score of 2-1. Epp went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Great Falls reliever Robby Carino picked up the win. Sean Stevens, who is tied for 3rd in the PIO in saves with 6, took the loss for Billings. Great Falls now sports a record of 25-33.
Rico Fernandez was the walk-off hero for Great Falls. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Voyagers second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It's great when the crowd is energized," Fernandez said.
