Voyagers Curb Raptors, 4-2
|
The Great Falls Voyagers got a stellar performance from pitcher Luis Cartagena, who handcuffed the Ogden offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Lindquist Field. Great Falls reliever Luis Cartagena got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Tim Gardiner was tagged with the loss. Matt Osborne closed it out for his 7th save.
Great Falls used the bat of Jesse Rhodes to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Voyagers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
Ogden manager Joe Post said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
At 44-13, the Voyagers are currently first in the North.
