Brewers Post 2-1 Win
|
Nick Painter was masterful in helping the Helena Brewers take down the Washington (Rk+) Nationals, 2-1. Tim Green picked up his 4th save of the season. Helena has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
The Brewers got a big at-bat from third baseman Mike Shank. For the game, Shank went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Helena a 2-1 lead.
Painter said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
