Tigers Suffer 5-1 Setback
|
Cleveland (Rk+) center fielder George Leggett contributed to his team's 5-1 win over the Portland Tigers. Leggett went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Guardians. The Guardians have now won 5 straight.
With Cleveland (Rk+) leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Leggett hit a splitter from Hector Rangel for a run-scoring double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Guardians ahead, 2-0.
Leggett called the win "a collective effort."
