There was no shortage of dramatics at Kindrick Legion Field.
The Helena Brewers handed the Orem Owlz a 5-4 loss in 10 innings at Kindrick Legion Field. Steve McMenamy, who is tied for 8th in the PIO in hits with 75, was the star on offense. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Helena reliever Bernalldo Shwerin picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Brian Jaworski took the loss.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Helena. That's when 21-year old right fielder Anders McLean hit a run-scoring double off Brian Jaworski to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," McMenamy said.
Helena is in second place in the North with a record of 45-24.
