Cleveland (Rk+) Sweeps into the Round 3
|
The Missoula Osprey were simply overmatched by the Cleveland (Rk+) Guardians in the Round 2.
The end result was a sweep, as Cleveland (Rk+) has cruised to the Round 3, with the final win coming at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field by a score of 4-3.
"We're clicking and running on all cylinders at the moment," said Willie Salinas, who was named MVP of the Round 2. "We're a dangerous team when we play like this."
For the series, Salinas hit .714 with a .737 on-base percentage. He had 5 home runs, drove in 12 RBI and scored 7 runs.
The Cleveland (Rk+) Guardians don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Seattle (Rk+) Mariners - Great Falls Voyagers series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
