In a close game at Aces Ballpark, the Las Vegas 51s edged the Reno Aces, 5-4. Las Vegas first baseman Pat Wood stood apart with his performance. He went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The save was credited to Lee Clark, his 2nd. Las Vegas, having won 10 in a row, is now 46-40.

Wood contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Las Vegas in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Wood took a slider from Tyler Stegman and stroked the home run to center. His 4th home run of the season allowed the 51s to leap in front, 2-1.

"When you're winning, you walk a little taller," said 51s manager Jeff Elgin.
