The Reno Aces topped the Sacramento River Cats, 4-3, in Pacific Conference action at Raley Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Reno pitcher Seth Thornton. Adrian Castro, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2109 draft, was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-4. The losing pitcher was Juan Talamantes. After today's action, Reno sits at 62-71, while Sacramento falls to 75-58.

Reno used a timely hit from Byron Levin to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Aces ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

After the game, Reno manager Jose Heredia applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
