Fresno turned a good effort from starter David Muacho into a win over the Salt Lake Bees at Chukchansi Park. The final score was 7-1. Fresno sits in third place in the Pacific Conference North Division at 56-85.

Jason Meertens had a big 2-run home run for the Grizzlies in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Fresno leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Gabe Helfer, who is tied for 5th in the PC in holds with 4, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Grizzlies on top, 4-1.

Fresno manager Seth Dugas said, "I thought we played well in all phases."
