Delgado Beguiles Pawtucket
Tuesday, July 21st , 2111
Melvin Delgado was in a mood to talk following the Gwinnett Braves contest against the Pawtucket Red Sox, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Red Sox, 4-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Delgado said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The left-hander blanked Pawtucket on a 7-hitter, allowing 1 walk and racking up 2 strikeouts.
So far this season, Delgado has logged a 9-7 record with a 2.90 ERA. He has started 20 games, hurled 143 innings and registered 112 strikeouts and 45 walks.
