Nashville Helpless Against Rojas, Lose 5-0
Monday, July 27th , 2111
Evan Rojas of the New Orleans Zephyrs was on top of his game.

The 23-year-old tantalized the Nashville Sounds with crisp curves and changeups, mixed in with just enough fastballs to keep the batters honest, shutting them out, 5-0.

"He had the changeup working," Nashville manager Mauricio Soto said in postgame comments. "You knew it was coming and you still grounded out -- and then he threw it even slower."

The New Orleans hurler had 5 strikeouts, gave up 4 walks and surrendered 3 hits in his complete-game effort.

Rojas told reporters after the game that "keeping the ball down is the key to being successful in this league."

"If you don't do that, they'll make you pay," he said.

So far this season, Rojas has a record of 4-2 with 39 strikeouts and 20 walks in 52.2 innings and a 2.39 ERA.
