Nunez Bashes 5 Base Hits Tuesday, June 18th , 2109 Jose Nunez exploded for a barrage of base hits at Security Bank Ballpark. The San Antonio right fielder had a field day in his team's 16-2 triumph over the Midland RockHounds, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Nunez must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Jose Nunez singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
