Troupe Slaps 5 Hits
Thursday, June 5th , 2110
After a 5-hit effort to lead Northwest Arkansas's 6-5 victory over the San Antonio Missions, shortstop Mark Troupe told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Texas League-level is really something special."

The 23-year-old player earned his accolades at Arvest Ballpark with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Missions.

"His swing is getting there," said Naturals skipper Travis Brassard, who spoke glowingly of Troupe after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Mark did that to perfection."

Mark Troupe singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Isom in the 4th, tripled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

Currently Troupe is batting .267 with 6 home runs and 16 RBIs.
