Wilmington Wins Round 1 Tuesday, September 13th , 2112 In an exciting Round 1 that had its fair share of drama and intrigue, perhaps it is Carolina League fans who have come out the winner. But on the field, the winners were the Wilmington Blue Rocks, who edged the Potomac Nationals 3-2 to advance to the Round 2. Wilmington won the final game by a 6-1 count to wrap up the series. Nelson Juarez earned series MVP honors, by hitting .300 with a .300 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Wilmington Blue Rocks will play against the Winston-Salem Dash in the next round. Winston-Salem won their series against the Carolina Mudcats 3 games to 2.
