Super Swinger -- Grabosky Slams 5 Hits Sunday, June 29th , 2110 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Fred Grabosky -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage and sparkled on the diamond at Modern Woodmen Park, but the performance lost a little luster when the River Bandits were downed, 7-6, by the Clinton LumberKings. After his glittering performance, the Quad Cities right fielder told the press that he "just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat." His batting theory paid dividends today as he slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. "I just wish we had added a win in the record book, too," Grabosky said. Fred Grabosky singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 10th. Thus far this season in 69 games, Grabosky is batting .307 with 4 home runs, 27 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 75 hits in 244 at-bats. View Boxscore View Game Log |
