Worthington Magnificent in 7-0 Peoria Triumph Friday, July 18th , 2098 Bryan Worthington kept the South Bend Cubs hitters off balance all game long as the Peoria Chiefs pitcher blanked the Cubs, 7-0. Worthington gave up 2 hits, struck out 6 and walked 3. In the postgame press conference, the right-hander was reluctant to talk about the outing at length. "It was a nice win in a long season," he said. "I don't want to dwell too much on it." This year Worthington has fanned 32 in 23.2 innings and collected a 1-4 record with a 9.51 ERA.
