Red-Hot Baxter Scorches Hot Rods Thursday, July 17th , 2110 It was a parade of hits for Rob Baxter of the Peoria Chiefs at Bowling Green Ballpark. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Baxter finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Chiefs to a win, 8-5. "Baxter was really good and we were really bad," groaned Hot Rods manager Ernesto Torre. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
