Walmsley Fans 15 Whitecaps Thursday, August 21st , 2098 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Earl Walmsley, the Fort Wayne TinCaps topped the West Michigan Whitecaps today by a score of 8-0 at Parkview Field. The 21-year-old Walmsley brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 2 hits and giving up 1 walk. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Whitecaps manager Phil Downer said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." Walmsley has taken the mound for 20 relief appearances this season, nailing down 6 saves while notching a 8-5 record with a 2.35 ERA.
