McDowell Shuts Out Great Lakes, 2-0 Tuesday, August 26th , 2110 In an impressive mound performance, Jack McDowell of the Dayton Dragons checked the Great Lakes Loons on a 9-hitter and held them scoreless. "He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," said Great Lakes manager Ivan Cruz. "McDowell kept us confused the whole game." The Dayton hurler rang up 2 strikeouts and issued no walks in his 2-0 shutout victory.
