Loons Heading to Round 2 Sunday, September 14th , 2110 The Great Lakes Loons are one step closer to the Round 2. The club prevailed 5-2 at Fifth Third Field tonight to eliminate the Dayton Dragons and advance to the Round 2. The Loons won the series by a 3-1 margin, with first baseman and series MVP Eric Weter leading the way. "I'm proud of all the guys," Weter said. "This was a team effort, not just me." The Great Lakes Loons don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Peoria Chiefs - Burlington Bees series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece.
