Shewmaker Belts Bunch of Base Hits Saturday, July 19th , 2098 The Crawdads downed the Power 17-4 today at Appalachian Power Park as Bryan Shewmaker exploded for 5 hits. "A couple times, I got a pretty good pitch to hit," the Hickory center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "A couple times, I had to work for it. But I think they underestimated my abilities." Bryan Shewmaker singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
