Stempien Strokes 5 Hits Friday, August 28th , 2111 Pat Stempien exploded for a barrage of base hits at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The Lexington right fielder had a field day in his team's 11-2 triumph over the Kannapolis Intimidators, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Stempien must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Pat Stempien hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
