5-for-5 Day for Jacobo Saturday, August 17th , 2097 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Jorge Jacobo is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Charleston RiverDogs at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park today. The monster effort from the 21-year-old center fielder helped the Asheville Tourists take the win, 16-9. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said RiverDogs manager Jake Burachalk. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Jorge Jacobo walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th.
