5-for-6 Game for Ammerman Saturday, August 23rd , 2098 Chad Ammerman had an answer for everything the Greensboro Grasshoppers threw at him today at NewBridge Bank Park. The Columbia center fielder went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Fireflies on top, 16-6. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Ammerman said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Chad Ammerman hit a solo-shot off Jason Richardson in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Gil Soto in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Gil Soto in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
