Great Day for Newell -- 5 Hits Saturday, September 6th , 2098 The Kannapolis Intimidators upended the Lakewood BlueClaws at First Energy Park today, thanks in large part to first baseman Jon Newell, who had a smashing day with the bat, racking up 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His big effort helped propel the Intimidators to a 21-3 victory. Jon Newell grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
