Augusta won the series 4-3, capturing the title for the 5th time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Augusta manager Aaron Bailey. "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 98-40 and claimed first place in the Southern Division. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and right fielder Justin Johnson said the GreenJackets have "great fans and they deserve this."
