Gruber Pitches 6-0 Shutout for Hickory Monday, September 9th , 2097 In a splendid 6-0 shutout performance, Michael Gruber of the Hickory Crawdads subdued the Greensboro Grasshoppers on a 5-hitter. "He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes, so I kept sending him out there," Hickory manager Rafael Tercero said in postgame comments. Gruber registered 14 strikeouts and no walks.
