Holman Tosses 4-0 Shutout Against Staten Island
Wednesday, August 9th , 2113
In a seemingly effortless performance, Clint Holman of the Tri-City ValleyCats shot down the Staten Island Yankees, 4-0, on 4 hits.
"Clint was just locating so well and using his pitches," Tri-City manager Pat Bredahl said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Holman recorded 11 strikeouts and 5 walks in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Staten Island manager Steve Chase said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
For the season, Holman has logged 1 win and no losses and struck out 17 batters in 14.1 innings while compiling a 0.00 ERA.
