Serrano Mows Down Vermont in No-Hitter Friday, August 3rd , 2108 In a dominant outing, Manny Serrano of the Williamsport Crosscutters totally silenced the bats of the Vermont Lake Monsters, finishing with a no-hitter. In the 4-0 victory, Serrano faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 8 strikeouts and 1 walk. "Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Williamsport manager Joe Hale said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any." Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Jerry Zuniga told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.
