Conti Spins 15-K Game Monday, August 11th , 2098 Everything was working for Jake Conti today at Bowman Field. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The splitter was working. In an unforgettable performance, the 22-year-old Conti fanned 15 Doubledays and sparked the Williamsport Crosscutters to a 9-0 victory over Auburn. He left Doubledays hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. "I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Williamsport manager Will Walsh. "His location and command were really something." In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 6.2 innings, Conti allowed 2 hits and 2 walks in a superlative outing. "I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Conti said with a smile.
