Marshall, on Top of His Game, Beats Batavia, 8-0 Friday, August 15th , 2110 Rich Marshall kept the Batavia Muckdogs hitters from doing much damage at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. Batavia could only muster 4 hits and draw no walks against the right-handed Marshall, who controlled them throughout the game. Connecticut won the contest, 8-0. Marshall added 4 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Marshall told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." To this point in the season, Marshall shows a 5-0 record, 11 starts, 74.2 innings, 54 strikeouts and a 2.53 ERA.
