Rosenthal Touches All Bases, Hits for Cycle
Thursday, August 7th , 2110
The Hillsboro Hops lost, 9-4, to the Boise Hawks at Ron Tonklin Field, and none took the loss harder than Josh Rosenthal, who saw a sensational game -- in which he hit for the cycle -- wasted.
"It feels really, really bad," he said later. "You feel like you deserve the win with a day like that."
The left fielder ripped Boise pitching for 4 hits in 5 at-bats and tallied 3 RBI. Rosenthal also scored 2 runs on his remarkable day.
Josh Rosenthal doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jeremy Mitchell in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th.
In 43 games this season, Rosenthal has batted at a .278 pace with 45 hits and 3 home runs.
