Eugene Shuts Out Everett, 2-0 Thursday, August 21st , 2098 The Eugene Emeralds did little to support starter Eric Wise against the Everett AquaSox, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the AquaSox, striking out 5 and surrendering 5 hits. The performance from Wise allowed Eugene to escape with the 2-0 win despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said 'Eric, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Wise told BNN reporters following the win.
