Beavers Fashions Shutout Against Atlanta (SS-A) Tuesday, August 26th , 2098 Jake Beavers bent a little, but he didn't break against the Atlanta (SS-A) Braves. The Eugene Emeralds pitcher hurled a 2-hit 7-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 2 walks and tallying 13 strikeouts. "Jake is good at getting out of jams," Emeralds manager Eddie Rangel told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
