Boise Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game Friday, September 23rd , 2112 After their 6-2 win today at Ron Tonklin Field over the Hillsboro Hops, the Boise Hawks will advance to the Round 2. Boise won the series by a 3-2 margin. Leading the way for the Hawks was center fielder O.D. Land, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP. "I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus." The Boise Hawks will play against the Kansas City (SS-A) Royals in the next round.
