Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Spence Tuesday, August 19th , 2098 The Seattle (AZL) Mariners stopped the Cincinnati (AZL) Reds today 16-6 and Kevin Spence collected a base hit yet again. The Seattle (AZL) second baseman finished with 3 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Spence told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Kevin Spence flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. This year Spence has hit 1 home run and posted a .298 batting average. |
