Kawakami Cracks 5 Hits Monday, August 12th , 2115 Futoshi Kawakami had an answer for everything the Detroit (GCL) Tigers threw at him at Hammond Stadium. The Minnesota (GCL) left fielder went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Twins a win, 18-2. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Kawakami said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Futoshi Kawakami singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
