Borden Belts Bunch of Base Hits Thursday, August 23rd , 2108 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Jimmy Borden of the New York N (GCL) Mets had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 10-5 win over the Philadelphia (GCL) Phillies at Bright House Field. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 22-year-old catcher told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Jimmy Borden singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
