Tigers Win Round 1 Friday, September 27th , 2109 By a score of 7-4, the Detroit (GCL) Tigers have sealed a victory in the Round 1 over the St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals. "We knew we would be in for a tough series and that's what we got," said center fielder Steve Bruno of the Tigers, who was named the series MVP. "The Cardinals knew how to battle and gave us a good test." The next test for Detroit (GCL) will come in the Round 2, after winning this series 3-1. The Detroit (GCL) Tigers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays - Tampa Bay (GCL) Rays series.
