Nationals Shut Out by Hall, 3-0
Tuesday, July 13th , 2106
There was no spell, no black magic -- just good pitching.
Zack Hall of the Ogden Raptors blanked the Washington (Rk+) Nationals, 3-0, at Swine Ballpark, and he did it the old-fashioned way. After finishing the 9-hit, complete-game shutout, he was all smiles.
"I threw a lot of my pitches for strikes in this game," Hall said. "I mixed it up and tried keeping these guys off balance."
Hall walked 0 and struck out 6 in the victory.
"He was throwing his breaking ball for strikes and we never capitalized on any of his mistakes," Nationals manager Manny Cruz said later.
