Cruz's Great Year Nets Pitcher of the Year Award Sunday, October 20th , 2109 The Pitcher of the Year Award for 2109 has been announced and the Pioneer League winner is Carlos Cruz of the Chicago (Rk+) Cubs. With a record of 10-3, Cruz was certainly a worthy winner. He made 12 starts and rang up 85 innings, 101 strikeouts and a 0.95 ERA. He received 16 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Louis Dupré of the Ogden Raptors finished second in voting, while Colt Vasquez of the Chicago (Rk+) Cubs finished third.
