Josh Alonzo was dominant and cool under pressure this year, and his standout performance has earned the Texas (Rk+) Rangers reliever recognition as the 2110 Pioneer League Reliever of the Year.

"I was just doing my job, and my job is to get people out," said the 19-year-old out of Fernandina Beach, Florida.

The award winner made 36 relief appearances this year and had 5 saves. He fanned 59 batters in 48.2 innings, with 7 walks. He pitched to a record of 5 wins and 2 losses to go with his 2.59 ERA.

He received 16 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Andre Williams of the Texas (Rk+) Rangers finished second in voting, while Travis Duranceau of the Ogden Raptors finished third.
