PIO's #1 Player for 2098 Named

He may have less experience than most of his Pioneer League peers, but that didn't slow Dan Fesperman down at all in 2098.
At the age of 23, the Philadelphia (Rk+) catcher has been named the winner of the Pioneer League Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .387 batting average and a .461 on-base percentage this year. In 70 games he piled up 108 hits, 28 doubles, 1 triple, 13 home runs, 74 RBIs and 62 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 16. Jose Leiva of the Missoula Osprey finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Pat Garrett of the Philadelphia (Rk+) Phillies finished third.
