The future looks extremely bright for Stuart Thomas. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in Pioneer League.
Thomas has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Pioneer League Most Valuable Player Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .385 this year, that's for sure," the center fielder said.
The Chicago (Rk+) Cubs star also put up a .432 on-base percentage this year, with 85 hits, 26 doubles, 7 triples, 6 home runs, 41 RBIs and 40 runs scored.
He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 16. Tim Doucet of the Billings Mustangs finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Tim Moore of the Ogden Raptors finished third with 3 first place votes.
