Cubs Not Competitive in 6-0 Loss to Colorado Springs Wednesday, September 3rd , 2098 Colorado Springs Sky Sox starter Brandon Meyer really did a number on the Iowa Cubs today, shutting them out 6-0 on 7 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 5 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Iowa manager Tom Fleming. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Meyer."
