Schuette Stymies Cubs Monday, September 9th , 2097 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Iowa Cubs as starter Bobby Schuette shut out the Iowa Cubs 4-0 at Principal Park. The Colorado Springs pitcher struck out 11 and walked 2 while allowing 2 hits. "Schuette was good but he wasn't flawless," Iowa manager Tom Fleming said later. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Colorado Springs, but this is on us."
