Sportswriters, fans and team officials watched today as 34-year-old second baseman Matt Adamo committed to a $7,500,000, 1-year deal with the New York organization.

Some openly worry that despite his talent, Adamo is too old to get it done anymore and that his value to the club will sharply diminish before the 1-year agreement has run its course.

For his 1039-game career Adamo has hit .226 with 838 hits, 577 RBIs, and 215 home runs.
